The Christmas Pass in the Land of châteaux" event returns for its 10th edition, from November 28, 2026, to January 3, 2027.

Available starting in September 2026:

Come discover and experience the magic of Christmas at seven of the Loire Valley’s most magnificent castles: Amboise, Azay-le-Rideau, Chenonceau, Chinon, Loches, Langeais, and Villandry.

Take advantage of special benefits and discounts when visiting the castles during the event. 

5 passes are available this year under a new pricing structure:

- 3-castle pass for €43
- 4-castle pass for €54
- 5-castle pass for €66
- 6-castle pass for €75
- 7-castle pass for €87 

For its 10th edition, new passes for children will be available: 

- 3-castle pass for €34
- 4-castle pass for €46
- 5-castle pass for €53
- 6-castle pass for €59
- 7-castle pass for €61 

The “Christmas in Castle Country” Passes also give you access to exclusive offers and benefits from numerous partners. These benefits are valid for the duration of the promotion, from November 28, 2026, to January 3, 2027 (limited to one visit per location).

How does it work ?

1) Select the Pass that best suits your trip.
2) Present your Pass—either as a physical card or digitally—at the entrance to the castles and at our partner locations.
3) Visit 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 castles from among those listed, depending on the Pass you’ve chosen (only one visit per site).

Available for purchase starting in September 2026 at the Tours Tourist Office (at the ticket counters and online) and at the Touraine Tourist Offices.

Practical information about the châteaux

Before your visit, we recommend checking directly with the châteaux for the site’s opening days and hours and ticket office closing times.

The Pass does not include access to temporary exhibitions, guided tours, or special events at partner sites.
However, the Passes offer several benefits:

  • flexibility in scheduling visits throughout the duration of the event;
  • all tickets combined into a single pass;
  • free admission—with no additional charge and no reservation required—to all evening openings at the seven castles;
  • discounts and benefits from dozens of partner businesses.

The themes of the castles and evening events

Each castle is offering a special one-night-only event with extended hours, allowing visitors to explore the Christmas tour from dusk until 8:00 p.m. (last admission at 7:00 p.m. at some castles).

With the Pass, you can enjoy these evening events at no extra charge if you visit the castle on these dates:

- Château of Villandry and Gardens: “At Christmas, Nature Comes to the Castle.” Evening event on Saturday, December 5. 

- Château of Azay-le-Rideau: “The Flavors of Fine Pastry.” Evening event on Saturday, December 12.

- Royal Château of Amboise: “A Royal Christmas for the Animals.” Evening event: date to be announced 

- Royal Fortress of Chinon: “Christmas in Fairyland.” Evening event on Saturday, December 19. 

- Château of Chenonceau: “Christmas and Traditions from Around the World.” Evening event on Wednesday, December 23. 

- Château of Langeais: “A Musical and Magical Christmas.” Evening event on Saturday, December 26. 

- Royal City of Loches: “Tales of the Royal City: Beauty and the Beast.” Evening event on Tuesday, December 29.
